On July 20, 2023, Ares Management Corporation announced the acquisition of Crescent Point Capital.
Under the terms of the transaction, Ares Asset Management (“Ares”) will acquire Crescent Point Capital (“Crescent”) in a deal expected to close in the third quarter of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ares (NYSE: ARES), based in Los Angeles, is a global alternative investment manager focusing on credit, private equity, and real estate services. As of March, 2023, Ares had $360 billion in assets under management.
Crescent, based in Singapore, is a private equity manager focused on investments in consumer companies across Southeast Asia. Crescent manages approximately $3.8 billion in client assets.
