On January 5, 2023, Kovitz Investment Group Partners, LLC announced an agreement to acquire Origin Holding Company, LLC.
Under the terms of the transaction, Kovitz Investment Group Partners, LLC (“Kovitz”) will acquire Origin Holding Company, LLC (“Origin”). Origin’s leadership and investment team will remain in place. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Kovitz is a Chicago-based investment management firm serving high-net-worth individuals, institutions and private funds. Kovitz is affiliated with Focus Financial Partners, a partnership of wealth management firms. Kovitz manages approximately $7.8 billion in client assets.
Origin, also based in Chicago, is a private real estate fund manager specializing in multifamily residential investments.
