MarshBerry Viewpoint Updated
On September 16, 2026, MarshBerry published its Viewpoint Update report (the “Report”), analyzing M&A deal activity through August 2026. According to the Report, 259 transactions were announced year-to-date through August 2026, representing a 7.5% increase from the 241 transactions announced through August 2025. The Report also noted that private capital-backed buyers accounted for 182 of the 259 announced transactions, representing 70.3% of total deal activity. In addition, the top 10 buyers represented 32% of all announced transactions. The Report notes that the M&A market is well positioned for a strong finish to 2026.
