On February 2, 2023, FS Investments announced a deal to acquire Portfolio Advisors.
Under the terms of the agreement, FS Investments (“FS”) will acquire all the assets of Portfolio Advisors (“Portfolio”). Upon closing, all Portfolio employees will join FS and operate as the institutional investment arm of FS. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions. Further terms were not disclosed.
FS, based in Philadelphia, is an asset manager providing access to alternative sources of income and growth. FS has over $35 billion assets under management.
Portfolio, based in Darien, Connecticut, is a registered investment adviser specializing in middle market private assets. Portfolio manages over $38 billion in client assets.
