Westwood to Acquire Salient’s Asset Management Business

On May 26, 2022, Westwood Holdings Group, Inc. announced that it will acquire Salient Partners, L.P.’s asset management business.

Under the terms of the transaction, Westwood Holdings Group, Inc. (“Westwood”) will acquire the asset management business of Salient Partners, L.P. (“Salient”) for a payment of $35 million at closing, with deferred payments of up to $25 million over several years. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2022, subject to customary closing conditions.

Westwood (NYSE: WHG) is a Dallas-based investment management boutique and wealth management firm, specializing in U.S. value equity and multi-asset investment services. Westwood has approximately $13.9 billion in AUM.

Salient is a Houston-based real asset and alternative investment firm specializing in real estate, energy and infrastructure, and tactical alternative investments. Salient has approximately $4.5 billion in AUM.
