On April 3, 2019, Siris Capital Group, LLC announced that strategic investments had been made by affiliates of Wafra Inc. and Landmark Partners, LLC.
Under the terms of the agreement, affiliates of Wafra Inc. (“Wafra”) and Landmark Partners, LLC (“Landmark”) have taken passive, non-voting minority positions in Siris Capital Group, LLC (“Siris”). Wafra and Landmark will provide capital to support the strategic initiatives of Siris, but the investments are not expected impact the current day-to-day operations or management of Siris. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Siris is a private equity firm that focuses on investments in data, telecommunications, technology and technology-enabled business service companies. Berkshire Global Advisors, along with Goldman Sachs, served as financial advisor to Siris in connection with the transaction.
Wafra is a New York-based investment firm with over $23 billion in assets under management.
Landmark is a private equity and real estate investment company, which focuses on secondary market transactions of private equity, real estate and infrastructure investments. As of December 31, 2018, it had approximately $27 billion in committed capital.
