Valad Europe Acquires GE Capital Real Estate’s Polish Retail Fund

On February 20, 2013, Valad Europe, a European real estate investment manager, announced that it had acquired the Investment Adviser and Asset Manager entities of GE Capital Real Estate’s Polish Retail Fund.


On February 20, 2013, Valad Europe, a European real estate investment manager, announced that it had acquired the Investment Adviser and Asset Manager entities of GE Capital Real Estate’s Polish Retail Fund for an undisclosed sum.  Valad will fund the transaction from existing reserves and investments from existing investors in the Polish Retail Fund, and GE Capital Real Estate will maintain a substantial holding in the Polish Retail Fund.  This is Valad’s first major acquisition since becoming a private company 1 year ago.  Following the completion of the transaction, Valad will have approximately €800 million of assets under management in the Central and Eastern European region in retail, logistics and light industrial real estate.
