On August 29, 2023, TMI Holdings, Inc. announced that it merged with Argent Financial Group.
Under the terms of the transaction, TMI Holdings, Inc. (“TMI Holdings”), which is part of TMI Trust Company (“TMI Trust”), merged with Argent Financial Group (“Argent”). The transaction received all required regulatory approvals and consent from TMI stockholders and has now closed. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
TMI Holdings, based in Atlanta, is a wealth management firm focusing on individuals, and large public and non-profit institutions. Berkshire Global Advisors provided a fairness opinion to the Board of Directors of TMI Holdings.
Argent, based in Ruston, Louisiana, is a wealth management firm focusing on trusts and estates planning, special needs trusts, oil and gas management, and investment management services. Argent has approximately $65 billion in assets under management. Berkshire Global Advisors acted as exclusive financial advisor to Argent on the transaction.
