On April 18, 2016, The Capital Partnership announced that it had reached an agreement to acquire ownership of Northgate Capital.
After the acquisition, Ali Ojjeh, Managing Partner of The Capital Partnership (“TCP”) and 12-year member of Northgate Capital’s (“Northgate”) Limited Partner Advisory Board, will serve as the Chairman of Northgate. Dr. Hosein Khajeh-Hosseiny, currently serving on Northgate’s Management Committee, will serve Northgate as its Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ojjeh and Dr. Khajeh-Hosseiny will serve on Northgate’s Investment Committee, along with Brent Jones and Thomas Vardell, two of Northgate’s co-founders.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The closing is subject to the satisfaction of customary regulatory approvals, as well as several conditions precedent.
Established in 1998, TCP is an independent asset manager providing asset and wealth management services to its founders’ families.
Venture capital and private equity firm Northgate was founded in 2000. It provides investment opportunities to institutional and high net worth family investors.
