Temasek to Invest in Dymon Asia Hedge Funds

On May 12, 2014, reuters.com reported that Dymon Asia Capital had received a $500 million commitment from Temasek Holdings to start a hedge fund seeding venture.


On May 12, 2014, reuters.com reported that Dymon Asia Capital had received a $500 million commitment from Temasek Holdings to start a hedge fund seeding venture.  In exchange, Temasek will become a minority stakeholder in Dymon.  Dymon will use the capital to seed new strategies and fund managers and to manage non-investment functions.  The venture‚Äôs first investment will be in Port Meadow Fund, a long/short equity hedge fund with a strong Asian focus.  The transaction will enable Dymon to diversity from its main macro hedge fund focus.  Dymon is a Singapore-based asset manager with approximately $4 billion in assets under management.
