Shareholders Approve Proposed Combination of Sceptre and Fiera Capital

Sceptre Investment Counsel Limited (TSX:SZ) and Fiera Capital Inc. jointly announced on August 24, 2010 that 99.8% of Sceptre's common shareholders voted in favor of the proposed combination of these two investment management firms.

On August 24, 2010, Sceptre Investment Counsel Limited (TSX:SZ) and Fiera Capital Inc. jointly announced that 99.8% of Sceptre's common shareholders voted in favor of the previously announced statutory plan of arrangement pursuant to which Sceptre and Fiera Capital will combine to create Fiera Sceptre, a publicly traded, independent money manager with approximately $30 billion in assets under management. Subject to obtaining final approvals with respect to the plan of arrangement and the satisfaction of conditions to closing, the parties expect the plan of arrangement to be effective on September 1, 2010.
