SDJ Private Clients Acquired by Clarion

On September 12, 2012, ftadviser.com reported that Clarion plc had acquired independent financial advisor SDJ Private Clients.

On September 12, 2012, ftadviser.com reported that Clarion plc had acquired independent financial advisor SDJ Private Clients.  The impetus behind the transaction for Cheshire-based SDJ was reportedly the introduction of compliance demands associated with the retail distribution review.  SDJ, founded in 2010 by Stephen Jackson, has approximately £22 million of funds under advice and the merger will boost Clarion’s assets under management to approximately £125 million.  Mr. Jackson will join Clarion as investment director and will continue to deal directly with his original clients, which will now be served by Clarion.
