Schroders to Acquire Blue Asset Management

On May 28, 2019 Schroders plc announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Blue Asset Management GmbH.

Pursuant to the agreement, Schroders plc (“Schroders”) will acquire substantially all of the assets of Blue Asset Management GmbH (“Blue”). Blue’s three founding managing directors, Dr. Artus Pourroy, Dr. Thomas Wiegelmann and Tino Lurtsch, along with its 17 employees will join Schroders’ Real Estate business and will continue to serve its existing clients. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Blue is a Munich-based investment firm with €1.2 billion in assets under management, that specializes in residential and commercial real estate holdings.

Schroders (SDR.L) is global investment manager with approximately €469.5 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2018. Its Real Estate business has assets of over €17 billion as of December 31, 2018.
