Savant Receives Strategic Investment from Kelso

On October 7, 2021, Savant Wealth Management announced that it had received a strategic minority investment from Kelso & Company.

Under the terms of the transaction, Savant Wealth Management (“Savant”) received a strategic minority investment from Kelso & Company (“Kelso”). Savant’s current management team will remain in place, and Savant CEO and founder Brent Brodeski will retain full control of the company and the board. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Savant, based in Rockford, Illinois, is a fee-only wealth management firm. It provides investment management, retirement planning and financial planning, tax preparation and accounting services. Savant currently has approximately $12 billion in assets under management.

Kelso, based in New York, is a private equity firm that has deployed approximately $3 billion of equity capital in the financial services sector.
