On April 4, 2023, Rathbones Group Plc announced the acquisition of Investec Wealth & Investment UK.
Under the terms of the transaction, Rathbones Group Plc (“Rathbones”) acquired Investec Wealth & Investment UK (“Investec”). Rathbones will create a new UK-based wealth manager with leadership integrated from both Rathbones and Investec. The transaction is valued at approximately £839 million.
Rathbones (LON: RAT), based in London, is an investment advisor servicing private investors and trustees. As of 2022, Rathbones had £60.2 billion in assets under management.
Investec, based in UK, is an investment management firm offering services to a range of clients including individuals, companies, and funds. Investec manages £43.7 billion in client assets.
