Quilter Acquires Three Financial Planning Firms

On November 29, 2018, Quilter Private Client Advisers announced its acquisition of Eastgate Financial Management, Holdaway Johnson and Clive C Aitkenhead Financial Consultant.


After the transaction, Eastgate Financial Management’s (“Eastgate”) clients will now be serviced by Quilter Private Client Advisers’ (“Quilter”) Birmingham office, Holdaway Johnson’s (“Holdaway”) clients will be serviced by Quilter’s London office and Aitkenhead Financial Consultant’s (“Aitkenhead”) clients will be serviced by Quilter’s Chester office. After the transition of the firms to Quilter, owners David Irving, Charles Holdaway and Clive Aitkenhead will each retire from Eastgate, Holdaway and Aitkenhead respectively. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Quilter is a UK-based financial adviser that specializes in wealth platforms, and advice and wealth management. Quilter manages €118.1 billion in customer investments as of September 30, 2018.

Eastgate, Holdaway and Aitkenhead are financial planning firms based in England.
