On September 12, 2019, Dan Pickering announced the launch of Pickering Energy Partners LP, which was transferred the energy asset management strategies of Seward & Kissel client Perella Weinberg Partners Capital Management. Under the terms of the related agreement, Perella Weinberg Partners Capital Management (“PWPCM”) transferred its energy asset management strategies to Pickering Energy Partners LP (“PEP”). PEP will be led by Dan Pickering, the former president of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co and Chief Investment Officer of TPH Asset Management. Terms of the deal were not announced. A Seward & Kissel team led by partners Jim Abbott, Craig Sklar and Jim Cofer, and associates Warren Samlin, Brett Cotler, Kevin Neubauer, Jacob Wimberly and Courtney McGarry represented PWPCM in connection with the transaction.

PWPCM is a global independent advisory firm, specializing in providing strategic and financial advice to corporations, institutions and governments.

PEP is a Houston-based firm that specializes both in public and private equity energy-focused asset management strategies.
