PGIM acquires Deutsche Bank’s Indian Asset Management Business

On March 8, 2016, PGIM completed its acquisition of Deutsche Bank’s Indian asset management business.


Through an affiliate, DHFL Pramerica Asset Managers (“DHFL”), PGIM acquired an indirect ownership interest in Deutsche Bank’s Indian asset management business. PGIM is the investment management arm of Prudential Financial, Inc. (“Prudential”), and DHFL is a joint venture between Prudential and Dewan Hosing Finance Corporation Limited. 

PGIM offers investment management services to both retail and institutional investors, with offices in 16 countries. As of December 31, 2015, it had $963 billion in assets under management.
