Perpetual to sell wealth management business to Bain

On March 15, 2026, Perpetual Limited announced an agreement to sell its wealth management business to Bain Capital.

Perpetual Limited (“Perpetual”) announced, on March 15, 2026, an agreement to sell its wealth management business to Bain Capital (“Bain”). Under the terms of the transaction, Bain will pay $350 million in cash upfront with a potential additional earn-out. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Bain, based in Boston, is a private investment firm investing across five focus areas, including private equity, growth and venture, capital solutions, credit and capital markets, and real assets. Bain has approximately $185 billion in assets under management.

Perpetual, based in Australia, is a financial services company specializing in asset management, wealth management, and trustee services. Perpetual has approximately $226 billion in assets under management.
