Orion to Acquire TownSquare

On May 10, 2022, Orion Advisor Solutions announced a definitive agreement to acquire TownSquare Capital.

Under the terms of the transaction, Orion Advisor Solutions (“Orion”) will acquire TownSquare Capital (“TownSquare”). TownSquare’s CEO and Chief Investment Officer, Kurt Brown, will become Orion’s Chief of OCIO Services. TownSquare will remain a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Orion. The deal, subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close by early third quarter 2022. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Orion, based in Omaha, Nebraska, is a wealthtech solutions provider, enabling financial advisors to attract new clients, connect goals and track progress. As of March 31, 2022, Orion supported approximately $60 billion of wealth management platform assets.

TownSquare, based in Provo, Utah, is a full-service investment and trading platform, providing services to wealth advisors, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, accounting firms and banks. TownSquare has approximately $6 billion in assets under management.
