On May 4, 2021, OneDigital Investment Advisors announced it had acquired Future Benefits Inc.
Under the terms of the transaction, OneDigital Investment Advisors (“OneDigital Investment”), the registered investment advisor and a wholly-owned subsidiary of OneDigital Health and Benefits, Inc (“OneDigital”), acquired Future Benefits Inc. (“Future Benefits”). Upon joining OneDigital, Future Benefits will maintain its Cheshire operations, and will provide services under OneDigital Investment, adding over 400 retirement plans, representing $1 billion in plan assets to OneDigital. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
OneDigital, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is a strategic advisory firm that provides health, wealth, and human resources services to over 85,000 employers across the United States.
Future Benefits, based in Cheshire, Connecticut, is a 401(k) plan manager, managing investment managers on behalf of clients, specializing in analyzing outside money managers and no-load mutual funds. Future Benefits oversees approximately $1 billion in assets. DeVoe & Company represented Future Benefits in the transaction.
