ODDO BHF Asset Management Merges with Frankfurt-Trust

On November 8, 2017, the ODDO BHF group announced the merger of Frankfurt-Trust Investment-Gesellschaft mbH and ODDO BHF Asset Management GmbH.

ODDO BHF Asset Management GmbH (“ODDO BHF AM”) and Frankfurt-Trust Investment Gesellschaft mbH (“Frankfurt-Trust”), which are both owned by the ODDO BHF group, will merge under a single brand name. The combined group, which will be overseen by Nicolas Chaput, will have €61 billion in assets under management.  The transaction is subject to approval from Bafin and worker council’s consultation.  The transaction is expected to close during the first half of 2018.

The ODDO BHF group is a Franco-German financial services group with businesses primarily in private banking, asset management, and corporate and investment banking.  The company is privately held with 60% of its capital held by the Oddo family and 30% by its employees.  As of December 31, 2016, ODDO BHF had over €814 million of shareholders’ equity and more than €100 billion in assets under management.

ODDO BHF AM, based in France and Germany, is the asset management division of the ODDO BHF group, specializing in European markets with a range of European equities, corporate bonds, convertible bonds, and asset allocation solutions.  As of June 2017, ODDO BHF AM had €44.6 billion in assets under management.

Frankfurt-Trust is a Frankfurt-based investment management company investing in public equity and pension funds.
