On May 20, 2022, Nomura Holdings, Inc. announced an agreement to acquire a minority stake in New Forests Pty Limited.
Under the terms of the transaction, Nomura Holdings, Inc. (“Nomura”) will acquire a 41% stake in New Forests Pty Limited (“New Forests”). The deal is expected to close by the end of December 2022, subject to regulatory approval. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nomura is a Japan-based, global financial services group offering its services to corporates, governments, and individuals.
New Forests, based in Australia, is a forestry asset management company providing asset management services to institutional investors. New Forests has approximately $7.8 billion AUD ($5.6 billion USD) in assets under management.
