On September 18, 2023, Mesirow announced the acquisition of Front Barnett Associates LLC.
Under the terms of the transaction, Barnett Associates LLC (“Barnett”) will join Mesirow as a separate platform within Mesirow’s broader wealth management business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mesirow, based in Chicago, is a financial services firm specializing in capital markets, investment banking, and advisory services. Mesirow has approximately $56 billion in regulatory assets under management.
Barnett, based in Chicago, is a registered investment advisor offering services to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. As of June 30, 2023, Barnett supervised approximately $1.2 billion in client assets.
