On September 24, 2020, Sunpointe Investments announced it formed a strategic partnership with Merchant Investment Management, LLC.
Under the terms of the agreement, Merchant Investment Management, LLC (“Merchant”) will acquire a minority, non-controlling stake in Sunpointe Investments (“Sunpointe”). Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Merchant, based in New York, is a private partnership, providing growth capital, management resources, strategic opportunities and direction to independent financial services companies.
Sunpointe, based in Missouri, is an independent, SEC registered investment advisor, working with high net worth individuals, families and institutional clients. As of July 2020, Sunpointe has $110.4 million in assets under management.
