On July 26, 2021, Merchant Investment Management, LLC announced that it partnered with Concurrent Advisors, a partnership affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.
Under the terms of the agreement, Merchant Investment Management, LLC (“Merchant”) made a minority equity investment in Concurrent Advisors (“Concurrent”). Concurrent is part of a network affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. (“Raymond James”). Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Merchant, based in New York, is a private partnership providing growth capital, management resources, strategic opportunities and direction to independent financial services companies, particularly those focused on wealth and asset management.
Concurrent, based in San Diego, is a partnership of independent wealth managers. Concurrent’s network of financial advisors are registered representatives of Raymond James. As of July 1, 2021, Concurrent had approximately $12.2 billion in assets under management.
