On May 2, 2022, Merchant Investment Management, LLC announced that it had acquired a minority stake in Argos Wealth Advisors.
Under the terms of the transaction, Merchant Investment Management, LLC (“Merchant”) acquired a minority stake in Argos Wealth Advisors (“Argos”). Merchant’s stake will be approximately 25%. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Merchant, based in New York, is a private partnership providing growth capital and management resources to independent financial services companies, particularly those focused on wealth and asset management.
Argos, based in Napa, California, is a registered investment advisor. As of October of 2021, Argos had approximately $839 million in assets under management.
