Man GLG to Acquire Sanlam’s Strategic Bond Business

On September 5, 2018, Man GLG announced that it will acquire Sanlam’s strategic bond business.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sanlam FOUR’s (“Sanlam”) bond investment strategy will become part of Man GLG’s fixed income offering. Craig Veysey and Francois Kotze, portfolio managers of Sanlam will join Man GLG and continue to run the strategy. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sanlam is a London-based boutique investment firm, founded in 2006, that specializes in fixed income, global equities, and multi-strategy fund solutions. Sanlam is a part of Sanlam Group with £290 million in assets under management.

Man GLG is a London-based discretionary investment management firm, founded in 1995, that specializes in long strategies in various asset classes. Man GLG has $38.4 billion in assets under management.
