On December 7, 2021, Liontrust Asset Management PLC announced that it will acquire Majedie Asset Management.
Under the terms of the transaction, Liontrust Asset Management PLC (“Liontrust”) will acquire Majedie Asset Management (“Majedie”) for an initial consideration of £80 million plus up to £40 million in deferred compensation. Chief Executive Rob Harris will join Liontrust as Head of Global International Business. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Liontrust, based in London, United Kingdom, is an asset management company. As of November 26, 2021, Liontrust had approximately $36.5 billion in assets under management and administration.
Majedie, based in London, United Kingdom is an asset management firm. As of November 26, 2021, Majedie had approximately $5.8 billion in assets under management and administration.
