KKR to Acquire Prisma Capital Partners

On June 18, 2012, KKR & Co., L.P. (NYSE: KKR) announced that it will acquire Prisma Capital Partners for an undisclosed sum. 

On June 18, 2012, KKR & Co., L.P. (NYSE:KKR) announced that it will acquire Prisma Capital Partners, LP.  As part of the transaction, AEGON will sell its minority stake in Prisma, but will remain a significant investor in its funds.  All cash proceeds from the transaction received by management will be reinvested in Prisma funds.  Prisma provides customized hedge fund solutions and has approximately $7.8 billion in assets under management, more than 90% of which belong to institutional investors.  Prisma is a Registered Investment Advisor, with offices in New York, London and Kentucky.  KKR is a global investment firm with approximately $62.3 billion in assets under management.  The terms of the transaction, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2012, were not disclosed.
