Kenmar and Olympia to Merge

On April 23, 2012, pionline.com reported that hedge fund-of-funds managers Kenmar Group and Olympia Group of Companies have agreed to merge.


On April 23, 2012, pionline.com reported that hedge fund-of-funds managers Kenmar Group and Olympia Group of Companies have agreed to merge.  Kenmar currently manages approximately $1.9 billion in hedge fund of funds and hedge fund managed accounts.  Olympia Capital Management, the investment management division of Olympia Group, has approximately $1.4 billion under management in hedge funds of funds and mutual funds of funds.  The combined firm will be named Kenmar Olympia Group and will have approximately $3.3 billion in assets under management.  The transaction, the terms of which were not disclosed, is expected to close in July 2012, subject to legal and regulatory approval.
