Julius Baer and Kairos Commence Strategic Partnership in Italy

On June 3, 2013, Julius Baer announced the completion of its acquisition of a 19.9% stake in Kairos Investment Management SpA and the commencement of a new strategic partnership, Kairos Julius Baer SIM SpA, in Italy.


On June 3, 2013, Julius Baer announced the acquisition of a 19.9% stake in Kairos Investment Management SpA and the simultaneous merger of its Italian asset manager Julius Baer SIM into Kairos.  The combined business will operate in Italy as Kairos Julius Baer SIM SpA and will apply for a banking license to establish a new Italian private bank.  The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Kairos Investment Management SpA is an Italian independent wealth management firm with approximately €4.5 billion of assets under management.  Julius Baer is a Swiss private banking group with approximately 220 billion CHF of assets under management.
