In Article #3, Ringdahl examines the ways that traditional asset management industry’s challenges to achieve positive organic growth have shifted executives’ focus towards operational efficiency. Ringdahl suggests that management teams must increase shareholder value, and if top-line revenue growth is increasingly difficult and expensive to achieve, then retooling the firm for greater operational efficiency and higher profit margins may be a path of less resistance and higher certainty of outcome.
