On May 26, 2019, Investcorp announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Mercury Capital Advisors Group, L.P. Under the terms of the agreement, Mercury Capital Advisors Group, L.P. (“Mercury”) will retain its current leadership team and remain an independent business. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, but is expected to close in the third quarter of 2019. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mercury is an investment advisory and institutional capital raising firm specializing in alternative investments. Mercury has raised over $170 billion from institutional investors since 2003.
Investcorp is a global manager of alternative investments that focuses on private equity, real estate, absolute return investments and credit management. Investcorp had $22.5 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2018.
