Macquarie Acquires Spire Partners

On July 1, 2026, Macquarie Asset Management announced that it acquired Spire Partners.

Macquarie Asset Management (“MAM”) announced, on July 1, 2026, that it acquired Spire Partners (“Spire”). Under the terms of the transaction, Spire will become MAM’s European CLO platform within its Credit and Insurance division. The Spire team will retain responsibility for managing the European CLO business and operations. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MAM, based in Sydney, Australia, is a global asset manager offering investment solutions to institutions, individuals and communities. MAM manages over $498 billion in client assets.

Spire, based in London, United Kingdom, is an asset management firm, specializing in non-investment grade corporate credit and European collateralized loan obligations (“CLO”). Spire manages approximately $7.5 billion in client assets. Berkshire Global Advisors served as financial advisor to Spire in the transaction.
