iM Global Partner Acquires Minority Stake in Dynamic Beta

On September 13, 2018, Seward & Kissel client iM Global Partner announced it had acquired a minority stake in liquid alternative asset manager Dynamic Beta investments.


iM Global Partner (“iM Global”) acquired a 45% interest in Dynamic Beta investments (“DBi”) formerly known as Beachhead Capital.  Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.  A Seward & Kissel team led by partners Jim Abbott and Gary Anderson, along with tax partner Jim Cofer, regulatory partner Paul Miller, employment counsel Julia Spivack, and associates Dora Pulido, Dan Bresler, and Kristy Choi represented iM Global in connection with the transaction.

iM Global is an investment and development platform focused on acquiring strategic investments in traditional and alternative investment firms in the US, Europe, and Asia with the objective of accelerating their business growth, particularly toward worldwide and multichannel distribution.   iM Global’s four current partner firms (Polen Capital, Dolan McEniry Capital, Sirios Capital and Dynamic Beta) have combined assets under management of $30.4 billion.
