Homrich Berg Merges with Compass Financial Consulting

On January 2, 2018, Homrich Berg Wealth Management announced its merger with Compass Financial Consulting.

Under the terms of the agreement, Homrich Berg Wealth Management (“Homrich Berg”) will merge with Compass Financial Consulting, LLC (“Compass”) and Compass will operate as a subsidiary of Homrich Berg. In addition, Kevin Kraus, John Bochniak, and Tana Gildea from Compass will join Homrich Berg as new principals along with two client service professionals who were not named. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Homrich Berg, founded in 1989 and based in Atlanta, is an independent wealth management firm that specializes in investment management and financial planning services. Homrich Berg currently has over $5 billion in AUM as of January 2018.

Compass, based in Atlanta, is a registered investment advisor that specializes in financial planning services and portfolio management for individuals and small businesses. Compass has approximately $231 million in AUM.
