On July 20, 2023, HighVista Strategies LLC announced the acquisition of abrdn Inc.
Under the terms of the agreement, HighVista Strategies LLC (“Vista”) will acquire abrdn Inc. (“abrdn”) in a deal that will see Vista add 30 employees. Further terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Vista, headquartered in Boston, is an alternative asset manager focusing on investments in niche and less efficient markets. Vista has approximately $5 billion in assets under management.
abrdn, based in Philadelphia, is a US-based subsidiary of Scottish global investment company abrdn plc focusing on US private markets investment strategies. Arbdn manages approximately $4 billion in client assets.
