On March 4, 2026, Hightower Advisors announced its agreement to acquire Seward & Kissel client Journey Strategic Wealth.
Hightower Advisors (“Hightower”) announced, on March 4, 2026, its agreement to acquire Seward & Kissel client Journey Strategic Wealth (“Journey”). Under the terms of the transaction, Journey’s founder Penny Phillips will become head of advisor strategy and client experience at Hightower Signature Wealth, Hightower’s branded W-2 channel. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hightower, based in Chicago, is a registered investment advisor that provides investment, financial and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations and family offices, as well as 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. Hightower has approximately $353 billion in client assets.
Journey, based in Summit, New Jersey, is a registered investment advisor offering wealth management, financial planning, investment management, estate planning, risk management, and retirement planning services. Journey has approximately $5 billion in assets under management.
Dalphia Partners served as financial advisor to Journey on the transaction and a Seward & Kissel team led by partners Danielle Lemberg, Jim Abbott and Craig Sklar provided legal advice to Journey.
