On January 4, 2022, Hightower Advisors, L.L.C. announced that it had acquired TC Wealth Partners.
Under the terms of the transaction, Hightower Advisors, L.L.C (“Hightower”) acquired TC Wealth Partners (“TC Wealth”). Hightower also acquired Trust Company of Illinois, a subsidiary of TC Wealth offering trust and estate planning services. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hightower, based in Chicago, is a wealth management firm, providing financial, investment, and retirement services to individuals, foundations and family offices. Hightower also offers 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. As of September 30, 2021, Hightower had approximately $132.2 billion in assets under administration and $104.1 billion in assets under management.
TC Wealth, based in Chicago, is a wealth management firm serving high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. TC Wealth oversees approximately $1.65 billion in assets. Cambridge International Partners advised TC Wealth on the transaction.
