Heitman Redeems OM Asset Management’s Interest

On January 8, 2018, Heitman announced that it has redeemed OM Asset Management’s ownership interest in the firm.

Under the terms of the agreement, Heitman LLC (“Heitman”) redeemed OM Asset Management plc’s (“OMAM”) 50% interest in the firm on January 5, 2018 for $110 million. As a result of the transaction, Heitman’s senior officers will now own 100% of the firm and will continue the firm’s business and operations as usual. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Heitman, founded in 1966 and headquartered in Chicago, is a global real estate investment management firm with approximately $39.0 billion in assets under management.

OMAM, founded in 1980 and headquartered in the United Kingdom, is a global asset management company with $243.0 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2017.
