Goldman Sachs to Acquire NextCapital

On March 29, 2022, Goldman Sachs Asset Management announced that it will acquire NextCapital Group.

Under the terms of the transaction, Goldman Sachs Asset Management (“Goldman Sachs”) will acquire NextCapital Group (“NextCapital”). NextCapital’s platform will become integrated with Goldman Sachs’ Multi-Asset Solutions business. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022, subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), based in New York, New York, is a global investment firm that provides advisory services to individuals, financial advisors, and global institutions. As of December 31, 2021, Goldman Sachs had approximately $2.5 trillion in assets under management.

NextCapital, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, is a digital retirement advisor providing financial institutions with retirement planning and managed accounts services through both individual retirement accounts and workplace retirement plans.
