On August 28, 2023, Goldman Sachs announced the sale of its Personal Financial Management Business to Creative Planning, LLC.
Under the terms of the transaction Goldman Sachs (“Goldman”) has agreed to sell its Personal Finance Management unit to Creative Planning LLC (“Creative”). Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Goldman, based in New York, is a is a global investment banking, investment management, and securities firm that offers a broad range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base.
Creative, based in Overland Park, Kansas, is a registered investment advisor offering retirement planning, estate planning, tax, and family office services to individuals and institutional clients. As of July 1, 2023, Creative had $245 billion in assets under management.
