Eurazeo to Acquire Minority Stake in Rhone

On November 29, 2017, Eurazeo SA announced it will acquire a minority stake in Rhone Capital LLC.

Eurazeo SA (“Eurazeo”) will acquire a 30% stake in Rhone Capital LLC (“Rhone”) in exchange for €84 million in cash and 2 million newly issued Eurazeo shares. One Rhone representative will be an observer on the Eurazeo Supervisory Board and three Eurazeo representatives will serve on Rhone’s Board of Managers. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2018 and is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Eurazeo is a Paris based investment company focused on private equity strategies. Eurazeo has approximately €7 billion in assets under management.

Rhone is a New York City based alternative investment management firm focusing on private equity investments and real estate, and has a joint venture with WeWork. Rhone has a portfolio including companies in chemical, consumer product, food, packaging, industrials, specialty material, business services, and transportation sectors. Rhone has approximately €5 billion in assets under management.
