EP Wealth Advisors (“EP”) announced on September 17, 2024, that it acquired CornerCap Investment Counsel, LLC (“CornerCap”). Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
EP, based in Torrance, California, is a fee-only registered investment advisor and financial planning firm backed by private equity firm Berkshire Partners and Wealth Partners Capital Group. As of July 2024, EP had over $26.2 billion in assets under management.
CornerCap, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is a registered investment advisor providing clients with wealth management services and investment research. CornerCap had approximately $1.1 billion in assets under management.
