On September 6, 2023, Energy Capital Partners Holdings LP and affiliated entities announced that it agreed to combine with Bridgepoint Group PLC.
Under the terms of the transaction, Energy Capital Partners Holdings LP and affiliated entities (“ECP”) announced that it has agreed to combine with Bridgepoint Group PLC (“Bridgepoint”). The deal comprised of $293 million in cash plus $235 million of Bridgepoint shares and $225 million of ECP’s existing debt. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.
Bridgepoint, based in London, is a private investment company listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: BPT). Bridgepoint had over $39 billion in assets under management as of July 2023.
ECP, based in Summit, New Jersey, is an investment firm focusing on the energy sector with over $18 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2023. Bank of America served as the exclusive financial advisor to ECP for the transaction.
