On June 26, 2023, MONECO Advisors, L.L.C. announced a strategic investment from Seward & Kissel client, Emigrant Partners, L.L.C.
Under the terms of the transaction, Emigrant Partners, L.L.C. (“Emigrant”) acquired a minority interest in MONECO Advisors, L.L.C. (“MONECO”). Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Emigrant, based in New York, is a capital and advisory services partner that engages in non-controlling minority investments in wealth and asset managers. As of July 2023, Emigrant was partnered with 21 firms that had approximately $100 billion aggregate assets under management and assets under advisement.
MONECO, based in Fairfield County, Connecticut, is an independent wealth management business. As of June 2023, MONECO had approximately $1.5 billion in assets under management. Republic Capital Group served as MONECO’s financial advisor for the transaction.
