On December 6, 2021, Seward & Kissel client Emigrant Partners, LLC announced that it made a minority investment in Beaird Harris Wealth Management.
Under the terms of the transaction, Emigrant Partners, LLC (“Emigrant”) acquired a minority interest in Beaird Harris Wealth Management (“Beaird Harris”). Pat Beaird, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Beaird Harris, will retain full control of Beaird Harris. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Emigrant, based in New York, is a capital advisory services partner specializing in non-voting, minority investments in wealth and asset managers. Emigrant is currently partnered with 19 firms and has approximately $85 billion in assets under management and advisement.
Beaird Harris, based in Dallas, is a fee-only registered investment adviser offering a range of wealth management services as well as tax, accounting, and business consulting services. Beaird Harris has approximately $1.3 billion in assets under management.
