Eldridge Industries Acquires Majority Stake in Maranon Capital

On February 4, 2019, Maranon Capital announced that Eldridge Industries now owns a majority stake in the firm.

Eldridge Industries LLC (“Eldridge”) has increased its current investment in Maranon Capital, L.P. (“Maranon”) to a majority stake by acquiring the additional stake from Maranon’s co-founder and Managing Director, Tom Gregory, who will be taking on an advisory role after the transaction. In addition, certain affiliates of Eldridge have made further commitments to Maranon’s business, including expanding its underwriting and hold capacity.

Maranon is a Chicago-based investment firm that specializes in private credit investments, providing senior financing, mezzanine debt and equity co-investments for middle market transactions.

Eldridge is a Greenwich-based investment firm that provides debt and equity capital to business and management teams and with a focus on media and sports, insurance, real estate, lending and financing, food and hospitality, asset management, among others.
