ECHELON Partners LLC published an RIA M&A Deal Report for the year of 2025 (the “Report”), analyzing M&A activity among Registered Investment Advisors. The Report shows that wealth management M&A activity reached a new high of 466 announced transactions in 2025. The Report shows that there was about a 27.3% increase of deal volume year-over-year compared to the 2020-2024 average year-over-year increase of 14%. 2025 was the second consecutive year of record-breaking transaction volume growth in industry history.
